Turner River Base Metals - Tabba Tabba Prospect
-
VMS mineralisation at Tabba was first discovered by lag sampling that identified lead-zinc-copper-gold anomalies over two outcropping gossans.
-
The gossans, one of which can be traced for 400m along strike, returned up to 7.42% lead, 0.72% zinc, and 11g/t silver in rock chip samples.
-
The sphalerite-galena-pyrite mineralisation at the Tabba Tabba Prospect is hosted by a sericite-altered felsic schist two metres beneath a 10m thick massive pyrite zone, which also carries up to 70g/t silver and 1.80% zinc.
-
Best intersections to date include TTRC007; 7m @ 4.51%Zn, 81g/t Ag, 1.05% Pb, 0.28g/t Au and 0.28% Cu and TTRC002; 5m @ 3.76% Zn, 79g/t Ag, 0.95% Pb, 0.25g/t Au and 0.26% Cu.
- Upside potential at the Tabba Tabba Prospect lies down dip of the relatively shallow RC drilling and single diamond hole completed to date. The 450m strike length of zinc-silver-lead-gold-copper mineralisation remains untested below 200m depth.
